EXHIBIT A - PAGE 2

3. SCOPE OF WORK - AUDIOVISUAL CONSULTING SERVICES

Programming

1. Conduct interviews with designated City personnel to determine the nature and
extent of the audiovisual systems required. These interviews are intended to be a
dialogue to exchange information and to discuss future technologies for which
provisions should be made.

2. Prepare an Audiovisual Program Report. The report will include:

a) List of audiovisual spaces. Describe how the spaces will be used.
b) Systems capabilities descriptions. Delineate systems capabilities that should
be considered for each area. The systems will be described in non-technical
terms, organized by video, audio and control capabilities. A distinction will be
made between capabilities that we recommend be dedicated, portable and for
which only future provisions should be made.
c) Preliminary planning budget estimates. Provide a budget to reflect the cost of
equipment and installation by a systems contractor. This preliminary budget
information is organized according to each major system.

3. Meet with City personnel to review the report, present our findings, and answer any
questions the client may have. Based on the discussions, we will provide a single
revision of our report and budgets for final approval.

4. Once this program and budget are formally approved, they will be used as design
guidelines for the design that follows. The complexity of the audiovisual capabilities in
the approved program and budget will determine the amount of time required to
complete the AV systems design.

Infrastructure Review and Design

1. Review and analyze existing Chambers drawings.

2. Develop electrical drawings showing any additional required empty conduit,
raceways, junction boxes, and power locations for the audiovisual systems
equipment. The services of an electrical contractor will be required if any electrical
capabilities are required for the AV systems upgrade.

Systems Desig nlS pecifications

1. Provide systems block drawings for all audio, video, and control devices showing the
interconnections among all components.

2. Provide complete specifications for all systems. These specifications will include:

a) General Specifications - recommended warranties, system performance
requirements, installation practices, owner training, system checkout, etc.
b) Detailed Specifications - outlining functional requirements for each system in
each area.
c) Equipment Lists - detailing each piece of equipment by manufacturer and
model number.
d) Together with the drawings, these specifications will provide complete bid

Proposal # 07-0334r1 City of Redwood City Council Chambers
Audiovisual Consulting Services
Revised May 31, 2007 - page 4

SHEt~ ,'v\!LSOM \NiLKE
