<br />Task 1.2 - Project Meetings <br /> <br />Same as Bid Package 6 <br /> <br />Task 1.3 - City Progress Meetings <br /> <br />Same as Bid Package 6 <br /> <br />Task 1.4 - Purple Tearp Meetings <br /> <br />Same as Bid Package 6 <br /> <br />Task 1.5 - QA/QC Program <br /> <br />Same as Bid Package 6 <br /> <br />Task 2 - Preliminary Design <br /> <br />Consultant shall provide the work that constitutes a preliminary level of design development, <br />using the same scope of work as for Bid Package 6 excepted as noted below: <br /> <br />1. Evaluate up to 5 options for pipeline alignment, and prepare a preliminary design report <br />summarizing the options, summarizing the evaluation, and recommending a preferred <br />alternative. If additional design is required for the recommended alternative, such as a for a <br />pipeline bridge or connections to an existing bridge, then a scope of work and budget will be <br />prepared for this additional work, for City approval. <br /> <br />2. Coordinate a geotechnical investigation to be conducted by our subcontractor, Bay Area <br />Geotechnical Group: <br /> <br />a. Research and review pertinent geotechnical and geological maps and reports relevant to <br />the site area with regards to the geologic history of the site and vicinity, as well as any <br />previous reports that may be available for the site. <br /> <br />b. Obtain a permit for drilling soil borings from the San Mateo County Department of <br />Environmental Health, as required. <br /> <br />c. Advance four CPT boreholes to approximate depths of 40 feet. The exploration will be <br />directed by an engineer or geologist. The CPT drilling crew will maintain a continuous <br />log of the materials encountered and measure the depth to groundwater, if encountered. <br />Profiling of site materials from an environmental point of view is not included. When <br />completed, the borings will be sealed with neat cement grout per standard protocol, and <br />the soil cuttings will be left on site.
