stations at new and existing valves. In addition, draining, flushing, and disinfecting the existing
pipeline will be included in the recommended improvements. Upon approval of the proposed
improvements by the City, Consultant will prepare up to 10 drawings and one specification
section for these improvements, and will incorporate these drawings and specifications into Bid
Package 7.

RECORD DRAWINGS AND GIS CONVERSION FOR BID PACKAGES 1 THROUGH 5

Consultant will prepare record drawings for Bid Packages 1 through 5, based on markups
provided by the contractors through the construction managers. Consultant will also provide
GIS conversion services by modifying the AutoCAD files for conversion, importing the files into
GIS, editing the feature geometry to comply with City requirements, attributing the resulting
files, and testing the files to verify the ability to import into H20NET. Consultant will provide
GIS files in Shapefile format compatible with the City's existing utility GIS data concerning
feature categories, attribute information and geometry rules.

Consultant understands that the GIS files may in the future be used as input for a hydraulic
modeling software. As a benchmark, Consultant will test the import process of System GIS files
with MWH Soft's H20NET modeling package, and customize files to provide for the easiest
possible transition. Actual running of the model is not included in this scope of work.

In general, the conversion process will consist of four steps. First, the CAD files will be prepared
for easy conversion. After import into the GIS, the feature geometry will be edited to comply
with the City's requirements. The resulting files will be attributed, after which they will be tested
for easy import into H20NET. The following deliverables will be provided

. GIS format will be ArcView Shapefile, coordinate system California State Plane Zone 3,
NAD 1983
. System features will be converted into the following categories (shapefiles):

o Main Lines

o Service Lines

o Valves (Subtypes Gate, Butterfly, Blowoff, Air Release (CA V), PRY, PSV and
others as necessary)
o Meters

o Fittings (Reducers, Tees)

o Cathodic Protection Anodes

o Network Structures (Vaults, Treatment Facilities, Tanks, Pump Stations and
others as necessary)

o Other features not yet identified, as needed

. System features will be attributed with the following information, depending on their
availability in the record drawings:

o Unique ID (Autonumber)

Agreement over $IOK
KennedyJenks Rev-2 112603

31
