<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Compensation: <br /> <br />Compensation for services will be $57,500, to be paid per the following schedule: <br /> <br />$26,250 upon execution of contract <br />$26,250 two weeks prior to event <br />$ 5,000 within two weeks after event <br /> <br />Scope of Services: <br /> <br />Plan, manage, and implement Redwood City's second annual downtown celebration <br />known as "Our Town, Downtown" to be held on Saturday, September 22,2007. <br /> <br />Consultant agrees to be on-site for the duration of the event. <br /> <br />Event begins with the opening of the Farmer's Market and continues from noon until 8 <br />p.m. in the vicinity of Courthouse Square, Broadway and Theatre Way in downtown <br />Redwood City. This year's theme will reflect a continuing celebration of the downtown <br />as the entertainment destination of the peninsula and the premier community gathering <br />space. <br /> <br />Key features of the event: <br /> <br />Stage one. Covered youth stage with shade canopy for the audience. This stage will <br />feature entertainers designed for families and youngsters under 12, with jugglers, <br />storytellers and similar artists, from noon until 6 p.m. <br /> <br />Area two. Covered areaThis staging area will present lectures/discussions on the <br />processes that Redwood City has taken to redevelop the downtown, including future <br />plans. Discussion leaders can include urban planners, landscapers, architects who <br />were, and are critical to the change in Redwood City. Exact times to be determined by <br />interest. <br /> <br />Stage Three. Covered stage with umbrellas tables and chairs for audience members. <br />Four musical acts each playing 90 minutes from noon to 7:30, with intermission breaks. <br /> <br />Stage Four. <br />Interactive area for youth and families. Bounce house, hands on art activities, face <br />painting, and other similar activities. <br /> <br />Stage Five. Acoustic stage on Broadway <br />
