<br />Consensus was for Council to support assisting the League in obtaining a venue for <br />the forum. <br /> <br />C. Sub-regional Housing Update <br /> <br />Mayor Pierce summarized her memorandum and stated that if another jurisdiction <br />did approach Redwood City with a proposal for a trade it would be prudent that <br />Council direct any such discussion occur at both a staff technical level and policy <br />level with Council. <br /> <br />Council supported Council policy decisions prior to taking on additional numbers. <br /> <br />8. STUDY SESSION - <br /> <br />A. Study Session on the Sequoia Hospital remodel, retrofit and expansion project <br /> <br />Senior Planner Riordan stated that the presentation is for information only to <br />convey the status of the Planning Commission in its review and not for decision by <br />Council at this time. (PowerPoint presentation on file.) She continued with a brief <br />overview and background information on the Planning approval process. <br /> <br />Bruce Fukuji, Urban Design Consultant, discussed the draft Precise Plan for <br />Sequoia Hospital. (PowerPoint presentation on file.) <br /> <br />Doug Mayoras, Sequoia's Architect, discussed the project phasing and design <br />specifics for the Sequoia Hospital Pavilion addition and parking structure (Planned <br />Community Permit request) (PowerPoint presentation on file.) <br /> <br />Council questions included what items will be brought to Council for consideration <br />and when to expect supporting documents for study. A question about pedestrian <br />challenges pertaining to power lines and poles was asked. A question about the <br />relocation of the nursing program and any implications of the move on the nursing <br />program was posed. <br /> <br />9. COMMITTEE REPORT - <br /> <br />A. Revisions to the City Manager Job Description <br /> <br />Council Member Hartnett, Personnel Subcommittee Chair, stated that it has been <br />noted that the City Manager job description is out of date and does not accurately <br />describe the current duties and how the Council would like the position to read. The <br />job description was reviewed with the input of HR Director Bell and others.
