Mayor Pierce stated that Council Member Aguirre <br />would be interested in working with the groups. <br />Daniel Leahy stated that he and Colin Moyer have a scheduled meeting on Tuesday, <br />July 24 at 4:30 with PRCS Director Corinne Centeno at her office located at the skate <br />park. There is also a meeting scheduled for Thursday at 5:30 at the Senior Center. <br />City Attorney Yamamoto stated that the Redwood City Police Department general order <br />provides that the officers will check on the residency of individuals when a crime has <br />been committed. They do not inadvertently or just take an opportune moment, to ask <br />people what their residency is and must be related to a crime. <br />Nick Geramios stated he acknowledges his personal debt to his ancestors who <br />immigrated here legally by demanding his nation be protected by secure borders and <br />the current immigration laws be enforced with tougher penalties on offenders and <br />employers who illegally hire them. He further stated that we are losing our national <br />sovereignty to an invasion by big corporate interests, Republican's greed for money and <br />Democrat's greed for victim mentality voters. He asked that the local Police Department <br />be trained on the proper procedures to enforce immigration laws. <br />M/S Foust/Howard to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by <br />title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />6.1 Section — Motions - <br />A.
