Compensation for Vehice�lar Damage - An employee may be compensated <br /> by the City for property damage to a private vehicle owned by the empioyee or <br /> his/her spouse, provided that at the time the damage occurred the employee <br /> was using the vehicle within the scope of his/her employmenfi and directfy in <br /> pursuit of City bus�ness. ThE City shall pay the employee the actual cosf of the <br /> damage less monetary damages paid the employee, provided the totaf payment <br /> by the Ci�y shall nofi exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00) far any one (il <br /> accurrence. It is further understood that payment shail be made only in the <br /> event a City-owned vehicle was no� assigned �o ar available for use by the <br /> emplayee; the empfoyee is r�ot required to keep a vehicls availab{e as provided <br /> in Section 2.�� of the Redwee�+ �ity Co�e, and thu� the er��l�yee has diligertly <br /> pursued his/her legal remedies to obtain payment far the damages in an amount <br /> which totally compensates for the damages, the employee shali reimburse the <br /> City any payments made as �rovided by this Section. <br /> Except as atherwise specifieally pravided in this section, the existing City palicy <br /> on Use of City Owned and Private Vehicles for City Business shall be foilowed. <br /> g. Licenses and Certificates - Employees who are required by State or Federal <br /> agencies to be licensed or certificate shall be reimbursed for the fees for such <br /> license or certificate, excluding licenses required by the Departmer►t of Motor <br /> Vehicles. <br /> h.
