AMENDING ARTICLE 60, ZONING MAP NO. 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE <br /> REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED, TO REZONE PROPERTIES <br /> LOCATED WITHIN THE NORTH MAIN STREET PRECISE PLAN AREA, AS <br /> FURTHER DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, FROM THE EXISTING ZONE <br /> DISTRICTS TO THE PLANNED COMMUNITY DISTRICT <br /> The motion passed by a unanimous roli call vote. <br /> M/S Foust/Ira to: <br /> 3. Adopt a Resolution (which includes the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting <br /> Program) to approve the North Main Street Precise Plan, as recommended with <br /> revisions by the Planning Commission, based on the findings that the project <br /> demonstrates three or more of the following features: <br /> a. Superior mixed use design <br /> b. Incorporation of affordable housing <br /> c. Incorporation of public or community facilities (e.g., provides improved <br /> public access to Redwood Creek) <br /> d. Transportation demand management <br /> e. Innovative use of shared parking <br /> f. Efficient and innovative use of infrastructure and renewable resources (e.g. <br /> provides a connection between Downtown and the Bayfront). <br /> RESOLUTION 14805 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> ADOPTING THE NORTH MAIN STREET PRECISE PLAN <br /> 8. MATTERS OF COUNCIL lNTEREST— <br /> A. Legislation (information only) - This sub-section involves possible discussion of <br /> City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br /> Priority Focus Bulletin No. 31-2007 and 32-2007. Council may direct staff to act on <br /> positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus <br /> available in City Clerk's Department). <br /> B. Consideration of resolutions proposed for adoption at the Annual League of <br /> California Cities Conference on September 5-8, 2007 <br /> Mayor Pierce stated that four resolutions have been introduced for consideration <br /> and that she is proposing support for three of them. She further explained the <br /> resolutions. <br /> M/S Foust/Ira to support the three of four resolutions introduced for consideration at <br /> the Annual League of California Cities Conference as follows: 1.) Renewal of <br /> League Grassroots Network Program, 2.) Healthy Aging, and 4.) implementation of <br /> AB 38; establishing a New "Department of Emergency Services and Homeland <br /> Security".
