C. Appointments to City Council-appointed Civic Cultural Commission <br /> Applicants are listed in alphabetic order. <br /> 1. Civic Cultural Commission (Two unexpired four-year term seats available, <br /> expiring May 31, 2008) <br /> City Clerk Howe requested up to fin+o votes from each Council Member with the <br /> following result: <br /> • Rochelle Jackson — Council Members Aguirre, Hartnett, Ira and Vice Mayor <br /> Foust <br /> • Amy Larimer— Mayor Pierce <br /> • Jennifer Marshall <br /> • David Meckler <br /> • Deborah Shea — Council Member Bain and Council Member Howard <br /> • Meg Van Buren — Council Members Aguirre, Bain, Hartnett, Howard, Ira, Vice <br /> Mayor Foust and Mayor Pierce <br /> The successful applicants are Rochelle Jackson and Meg Van Buren to <br /> serve on the two unexpired four-year term seats expiring May 31, 2008. <br /> MINUTE ORDER 07-159 <br /> D. Vice Mayor Foust — stated that there had been a press release issued in July <br /> regarding Bair Island and that there will be particular periods of trail closures <br /> along inner Bair Island. U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and the Army Corps of Engineers <br /> are bringing in fill material. She stated that this is an exciting opportunity for <br /> Redwood Cifiy and is something the City through Mayor Pierce and Vice Mayor <br /> Foust has worked toward for a number of years. Further updates will be given. <br /> E. Mayor Pierce — announced that on Friday, September 14, from, 6-9 p.m., in the <br /> Sequoia Multipurpose room on Brewster, there will be an opportunity for youth <br /> and adults to come together for the future. There will be a free dinner and an <br /> opportunity to brainstorm a vision for making the community better. <br /> �.
