By motion, waive an irregularity and approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an <br />agreement for the purchase of one new 2020 model year utilities service truck in the amount of <br />$103,130.76 from Golden Gate Truck Center of Oakland, California <br />2. Adopt a resolution approving an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2018-19 budget to increase the <br />General Fund budget for the Downtown Development Program of the Parks Recreation and <br />Community Services Department of by $100,000 to cover the cost of the above vehicle purchase <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />Redwood City's Equipment Services Division of the Public Works Services Department provides fleet <br />management services to all internal departments including procurement services. Additional <br />programming or the incorporation of new technology can dictate the operational demand for new and/or <br />different equipment. The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department is responsible for <br />orchestrating frequent, large events throughout the downtown landscape of Redwood City. Currently, the <br />department is accustomed to borrowing their department's trucks designed to support landscape <br />maintenance for the use of event set-up, breakdown, and general support. This has created operational <br />inefficiencies within the Parks Division without a dedicated vehicle specified to support Redwood City <br />Events. <br />ANALYSIS <br />The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department in collaboration with Equipment Services <br />Division, has identified that the 2020 model year, Isuzu Crew Cab Truck NV4 meets the evolving <br />operational demands of the Parks Division.
