6.1. - Page 4 of 24 <br />• Inclusion Coordinator at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center to enhance programs and services <br />for people with special needs; and <br />• Program Coordinator to support youth and teen enrichment programs, camps, classes as well as <br />adult and senior classes and programs. <br />The annual increased cost of this proposed restructuring is estimated to be $16,250, and funding will be <br />included in the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Recommended Budget. These additional Coordinator positions will be <br />placed in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 715 bargaining unit at the current <br />Recreation and Community Services Program Coordinator monthly salary range of $6,357 to $7,726. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The combined classification and salary changes noted above will result in an estimated total annual cost <br />of $62,850 for salary and salary -related benefits. Any increased costs experienced in Fiscal Year 2018-19 <br />will be absorbed within the current fiscal year budget by savings in other areas, and ongoing funding will <br />be incorporated in the Fiscal Year 2019-20 Recommended Budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public Notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Council may direct staff to conduct further evaluation and recommend alternative <br />classification(s) or salary changes.
