6.A. - Page 1 of 68 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: May 6, 2019 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Agreement with TruePoint for a new Utility Billing System as part of the City's Enterprise Resource <br />Planning (ERP) Replacement <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with TruePoint for Utility <br />Billing, including consumption tracking, budget calculations and assignments, and bill calculations for <br />garbage, sewer, and water utilities, in an amount not to exceed $655,000 for a five-year term. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />On April 8, 2019, staff presented the City Council with a comprehensive update on the ERP vendor <br />selection process and the proposed phased approach to implementation of the various systems. Staff <br />also provided background on the contract negotiations currently underway, and the recommended <br />approach to bringing the various systems to the City Council for approval at a staggered timeframe. <br />On April 8, 2019, the City Council approved an agreement with OpenGov to provide enhanced budget <br />book production, online dashboards and interactive data for the public, and the ability to engage with <br />residents online regarding important policy and financial issues. Staff now recommends approval of <br />TrueBill, by TruePoint, for the City's utility billing solution. <br />ANALYSIS <br />On January 16, 2019, the ERP Steering Committee and the Vendor Review Team tentatively selected the <br />following vendors for the replacement of the current ERP system: <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />9 <br />
