05/06/2019 <br />4. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby authorizes the City <br />Manager to issue up to three (3) PDD Permits under the Pilot Program. <br />5. The City Council hereby approves the Conditions of Approval, attached <br />hereto as Exhibit A, and incorporated herein by this reference. All PDD Permits shall be <br />subject to the Conditions of Approval. <br />6. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a <br />Personal Delivery Device Agreement with PDD Operators that establishes the terms of <br />operating PDDs in the Right of Way pursuant to a PDD Permit attached hereto as Exhibit <br />B, and incorporated herein by this reference ('PDD Agreement'). All PDD Permits shall <br />be subject to the execution of a PDD Agreement. <br />7. A PDD Permit to operate up to Twenty -Five (25) Personal Delivery Devices <br />may be issued and outstanding at any time as part of this 2019 Pilot Program, unless the <br />number of PDDs is increased in accordance with the Conditions of Approval and PDD <br />Agreement. <br />8. Prior to March 25, 2020, staff shall evaluate the 2019 Pilot Program and <br />recommend to the City Council whether the 2019 Pilot Program should be continued, <br />expanded, or terminated. <br />9. Subject to the foregoing, the City Manager may at their sole option freely <br />terminate the 2019 Pilot Program or revoke any PDD Permit at any time without cause or <br />liability, and without any obligation to pay any consideration to any PDD Operator.
