05/06/2019 <br />twenty-five (25) PDDs in the Right of Way within the boundaries of the City of Redwood <br />City provided, however, that PDD Operations shall be primarily limited to those portions <br />of the Right of Way consisting of sidewalks, crosswalks, and other area typically used for <br />pedestrian travel rather than streets or areas used for bicycle or vehicular travel. <br />A. Permittee may request to increase the number of operating PDDs by <br />submitting, in writing, to the City Manager or his/her authorized representative a proposal <br />that includes the following: <br />i. Number of total PDDs requested to operate in the City; <br />ii. Total number of City residents signed up with Permittee and average <br />number of trips per day; <br />iii. All reports of complaint by residents and instances of PDD failure to <br />operate in the prescribed manner; and <br />iv. Year -to -Date report of the Public Benefit Measures (Section 12) <br />listed in the PDD Agreement. <br />B. Permittee shall ensure that: <br />i. No PDD will transport or deliver, or be allowed to transport or deliver, <br />any prescription drug, prohibited substance, or paraphernalia, <br />medical or non-medical marijuana or cannabis (including marijuana <br />or cannabis products or accessories), alcoholic or intoxicating <br />beverage or substance, or tobacco product or tobacco <br />paraphernalia. <br />ii. Each PDD be operated in a safe and non -hazardous manner so as <br />not to endanger vehicles, drivers, pedestrians, wheelchair or scooter <br />users, bicyclists, other lawful users of the Right of Way, other public <br />space or property, or private property. <br />iii. No PDD operates above a maximum speed of ten (10) miles per <br />hour. <br />iv. Each PDD has a gross weight of less than eighty (80) pounds, <br />excluding cargo. <br />v.
