6.A. - Page 18 of 21 <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Phase 1 — Plan for Success <br />June, 2019 — September, 2019 <br />Objectives <br />During the Plan for Success phase, Consultant will work with Redwood City 2020 and <br />StriveTogether to lay a strong foundation to achieve community, school, and student - <br />level success. Activities during this phase focus on ensuring Redwood City 2020 <br />members have a strong introduction to the Community In Schools (CIS) Model of <br />Integrated Student Supports and CIS team members have a strong foundation in the <br />history, culture, needs and aspirations of the local community. The objectives of Phase <br />1 are: <br />• Establish a common understanding of community needs and identify strategies to <br />integrate Consultant into community efforts; <br />• Orient all stakeholders to the goals of the initiative and establish common <br />community objectives; <br />• Prepare program lead for implementation; and <br />• Establish advisory council. <br />Activities <br />Consultant will: <br />• Partner with StriveTogether to conduct a landscape analysis of existing <br />resources within the community to identify gaps, opportunities for improvement <br />and ensure understanding of existing resources to support integration and <br />planning. <br />• Conduct a Planning Retreat (1.5 days) — Partner with StriveTogether to plan for <br />and convene key stakeholder to hold a planning retreat. <br />• Hold a Community Summit — Partner with StriveTogether to plan for and <br />execute a Community Summit to refine work from the planning retreat and co - <br />create the long-term work of Redwood 2020 <br />• Develop Licensed Partner Implementation Plan — Consultant will use <br />information collected from a landscape analysis and the Planning Retreat to <br />develop an implementation plan. The implementation plan will, at a minimum, <br />identify key stakeholders involved, provide information about roles and <br />responsibilities, and establish a training and support calendar of activities for the <br />first year of implementation. <br />• Provision access to CIS Resources (CIS University, the National Resource <br />Center, and CISDM) <br />• Conduct twice -monthly coaching calls with program lead <br />Page 10 of 13 <br />ATTY/AGR/2019.116/ COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS <br />REV: 05-07-19 RL <br />25 <br />
