Hold a public hearing to receive public input on district boundaries, feedback <br />on the draft maps and potential election sequencing presented; identify the City <br />Council's preferred map and election date sequencing; and <br />3. Introduce an ordinance establishing seven districts for the election of City <br />Councilmembers, establishing the boundaries and the identification number of <br />each district, establishing the election order of each district and adding Section <br />2.27.7 to Chapter 2, Article I of the Redwood City Municipal Code. <br />CEQA: <br />This is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CECA) <br />Motion and second, Aguirre/Hale, approving map 21F and introducing an <br />ordinance establishing seven districts for the election of City Councilmembers, <br />establishing the boundaries and the identification number of each district, <br />establishing the election order of each district and adding Section 2.27.7 to <br />Chapter 2, Article I of the Redwood City Municipal Code. The motion fails 3-4 <br />by electronic vote with Councilmembers Borgens and Reddy, Vice Mayor <br />Howard and Mayor Bain opposed. <br />Motion and second, Howard/Borgens, approving map 13H and introducing an <br />ordinance establishing seven districts for the election of City Councilmembers, <br />establishing the boundaries and the identification number of each district, <br />establishing the election order of each district and adding Section 2.27.7 to <br />Chapter 2, Article I of the Redwood City Municipal Code. The motion passes 6- <br />1 by electronic vote with Councilmember Aguirre opposed. <br />9. STAFF REPORTS <br />9.A. Proposed FY 2019-20 and FY 2020-21 Economic Development Work Plan <br />(209) MO 19-103 <br />Deputy City Manager Alex Khojikian introduced the item and introduced newly <br />appointed Economic Development Manager Don Burrus.
