APPENDIX C COREBT STATEMENT OF WORK
CORE Business Technologies (COREorCOREBT) is pleased to have this opportunity to meet Redwood
City's (City) objectiveto provide a robust cashiering solution that integrates to existing billing and finance
systems.
The following proposal is based on CORE's understanding of the City's need fora consistent approach to
accepting and receipting paymenttransactions. CORE's proprietarysoftware, iPayment Enterprise
(iPayment), provides the ideal platform for supporting existing cashiering and eCommerce functions with
the scalability to accommodate future growth for unlimited users and business needs.
EASY TO CONFIGURE
One of the many benefits of iPayment is its usability and configurability. Designed with ease of use in mind,
screen layouts, transactional data elements, menus and graphics area I I configurable by the City. iPayment
was designed to make it easy to process payments and easy to get that revenue into the correct bank
accounts as securely and swiftly as possible. Screen prompts are available to guide cashiers as needed and
the End of Day cash balancing screens are intuitive and responsive. After initial deployment, a built-in
configuration tool allows the client to make a variety of changes (i.e. transaction type, tender type, fee
amounts, user prof iles, etc.)as needed.
END OF DAY PROCESS
iPaymentfaciIitates rapid end of day re con ciIiationforth e individual cashier, department and treasury
level. The iCash iering (POS) module also provides configurable maximum cash drawerIimits, notifications
and supports balancing orcash pulls throughoutthe processing period. Controltotals for balancing are
provided online by user, file, and workgroup (department). Cash float (change fund) tracking is available to
ensure cash control totals are consistent with the cash in the drawer at all times.
The cashier navigates to the balancing screen through a single click and is presented with control totals by
bank account and tender. The cashier selects the bank deposit orturn-into be reconciled and utilizes in -
application counting tools to determine cash totals or verify checks and other documents. Cash currency
lists and check lists are printed and maintained by the system.
Cash balancing can be performed against displayed expected amount or can be configured by user
profile as secured. Secured cash balancing or 'blind balancing' is utilized to provide advanced cash
controls. Cashiers simply count all funds in their drawer including the Cash Float.
