• Full -face mask and dry suit (chemical resistant). The diver shall be totally isolated from <br />the potable water. <br />• Equipment to disinfect diver and equipment before each dive. <br />• Equipment for cleaning potable water storage reservoir. <br />• Equipment shall be capable of removing flocculated material, silt, sediment, sand and <br />debris from the floor of the tank. <br />Post -cleaning Inspection <br />Following the cleaning of the tanks, the Contractor shall provide a post -cleaning inspection, <br />noting new observations not previously recorded. Post -cleaning inspection shall be considered a <br />part of the scope of work in any tanks cleaned. No separate payment shall be made for post - <br />cleaning inspection. <br />Safety Plan <br />Work must be performed in accordance with the latest AWWA, CA SWRCB, OSHA, and any <br />other applicable regulations. Contractor is required to submit a written safety plan. <br />Warning Signs and Barricades <br />If required, the Contractor shall provide suitable warning signs and barricades to protect the <br />public from injury due to its operations or presence of its equipment on or near the site of work. <br />Schedule of Work and Time for Completion <br />The Contractor shall consult with the Redwood City Water Division or its designated <br />representative in planning its work schedule to make sure the Redwood City Water Division is <br />ready to proceed. Work shall be scheduled no less than two weeks in advance. All work shall be <br />done during Redwood City's Public Works work schedule of Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 <br />pm. Work shall be completed by October 31, 2019. <br />Protection of Adjacent Property <br />Structures adjacent to property shall be protected. The City shall not be responsible for any <br />damages caused by Contractor. <br />Stockpiling of Equipment and Material <br />The Contractor shall make all necessary arrangements for securing adequate and proper places <br />for storing materials and equipment. The Department has limited space available in the <br />corporation yard. The Contractor shall obtain permission for such sites before storing materials. <br />Cleanup <br />Upon completion of each portion of the work, the site shall be cleaned of all debris and <br />construction equipment and shall be left in a neat condition to the satisfaction of the Department <br />and its designated representatives. <br />Written Report and Video Submittal <br />The Contractor shall provide copies of a written report, with photos, and video for each tank to <br />Redwood City Public Works staff within 30 days of completion of the cleaning and inspection. <br />The written report shall be provided as a PDF and summarize the results of the visual inspections <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />REV: 05-16-19 <br />ATTY/AGR.2019.136/Inland Potable Services, Inc. - Inspection & Cleaning of Water Tanks <br />
