Eg 5th is should not even be a question. The fact that this is a concern to the city is EXTREMELY FASCIST! San Carlos city council should be ashamed of
themselves for even bringing this up as an issue. Just because a companies values and beliefs do not match yours gives you no right to question their
presence. Shame on you city council. This is AMERICA!
5 Yah, BAN any business that are owned by Christians. Better yet, ban all businesses with any religious belief that might not be 100% pro something we
feel is right. We should do religious background checks on every business owners in San Carlos, kick them out of our community if they believe in anything
science and biology can't prove. Make laws for our citizens from expressing their religious view points. We must protect our value system by kicking out
anyone who thinks and believes diff rerently. For anyone who has a different worldview regardless whether they actually pose a threat to people, let'sjust ban
them. So that, we can become the most tolerant and diverse community with one single point of view where there's peace, understanding and love for each
other, because we think and act exactly alike. Supervisor David Canepa, thank you for supervising our thoughts and beliefs!
+QS 5,1 realize CFA has a history of seemingly anti-LGBTQ views, however I have never experienced anything but kindness and respect from employees at CFA.
I think it important to remember that the people managing and working at CFA would be from our community and likely practicing values that they have
learned in thiscommunity. And, while i don't agree with them, the owners of CFA are entitled to their beliefs as long as they don't force them on others or
discriminate. So, focusing on the food well, maybe I should have put 1 to help prevent the weight gain I'm sure to experience if a CFA is close by!
Q 4. one does not have to patronize anyone whoop poses a belief. If the product is goo than they should be allowed to open. We have other chicken stores in
the area people can patronize, I have never eaten at Chic a fil but hear the chicken is good. They can make it here or they can go broke.
g 5 free market will dictate if it succeeds
Q S - Keep identity politics out of San Carlos. If you cave in to hateful activists once, they will keep harassing you forever.
© S If you don't like their beliefs, don't patronize their business
0 5 Chik Fil Ahas an impeccable service record and model work business practices. Who is the more hateful and less inclusive.a respectful welcoming open
to all business? or people trying to shut down a law abiding business with a highly valued service over the individual beliefs of a person related to the
business...
5 if the politics of their leadership bother you that much then don't eat there. Vote with your wallet. We all know their lines will be full. You can't complain
about the lack of entry level jobs and then protest a company trying to boost our economy. What's next if you bar them from coming in? Do you really want
politicians saying what businesses are allowed to be here based on their political beliefs?
E] 5 because The best way to oppose the hate philosophy of Chikafil owners is to boycott it and work to educate our neighbors about human rights
Q 5 - strongly support. Chil Fil A is a strong community supporter.
R 5 you should welcome them. World class customer service. We need to stop this virtue signaling crap. Disqualifying a restaurant franchise because the
owner is a Christian is wildly inappropriate!! Exactly WHAT anti LCBT behavior is the franchise guilty of?
Q 5 - Redwood City should NOT intertwine politics and business -- that road is *chock-full- of ramifications of the Law of Unintended Consequences. If Chick-
fil-A sells legal goods that some people want to buy, there should be "NO" discrimination against it. *Individuals* can choose to shop there or not, as they
wish (as I do, with some businesses).
R 5 I people would take the time to do their research, they would know that Chick-fil-a is not anti gay, in fact they love everyone! Did the founder have
personal beliefs? Yes, but we all do and are entitled to. If anything, Chick-fil-a is known to give back and support their community, which lets be honest,
Redwood City needs all the support we can get.
Q 4. While I don't support chic fil As political ideas, it isn't fair to place economic limitations on them for it. Ifyou don't agree with it either, don't eat there.
Q S Supervisor David Canada is totally wrong on trying to prohibit a business from obtaining a use permit solely based upon their personal or political beliefs
and views. This is America not Russia or Cuba where governments prohibit businesses that have opposing views. The only morally and legal correct response
is to use your rights not to patronize. Absolutely wrong!
R 5 We can't block business because of their moral convictions. If we block this business are we then going to go to every business in Redwood Cityto see
where they stand on this issue? Be realistic. The USA and CA was built in freedom. Freedom of expression, freedom of ideas, freedom of speech. For the
government to block any freedom is anti- American and too much government restricting freedom already. If you don't like there values don't buy their food.
If your that concerned then throw away and stop buying all non- made in America goods since the majority of the countries our imported goods come from
are anti -gay and anti -civil liberties. China, Indonesia, etc. Wake up hypocrites.
