EE I of course there can be apolitical litmus test. Igbtq people fail litmus tests all the time but because they re individuals it gets ignored. Time to hold
corporations to higher standards.
.He 1- Chick-fikA leadership is homophobic and sanctioning their business in our city should go against all we value. To make matters worse, RWC also
demonstrated aggressions against the LGBTQ community by no[ offering more reliable support for a queer owned business to open here this year. The
Lavender Room would have been a welcome addition by many in our community, and it is shameful that our city council didn't do more to support them
ONLY to turnaround and welcome a hateful anti-LGBT company like CFA into our city. We have a large queer community in RWC. We deserve support and
representation.
Qe 1. Boycott intolerance
Q 1 If this happens IT be out front whenever I can with sign in hand to protest.
Q 2 too many unhealthy eating establishments already and disagree with their social and political values of which their profits fund promotion.
0 2. There can't be a litmus test, it's true. But community values matter. When Pink Panthers came to unincorporated land we had a lot to say, and the
company listened and made concessions. Our community can make similar statements about our discomfort, and see what the response might be.
Q 1 this corporation goes out of its way to spread HATE!!Our town needs to stand up as a HATE -free zone! This corporation is against LGBTQ- community &
women!!Th is corporation goes beyond the Christian beliefs but aggressively spends money against these groups!:(NOT in Redwood City!
Q 1.1 would much rather support local businesses or businesses more in line with the type of neighborhood we want to cultivate, We already have a Burger
King on that block and a McDonald's down the street. That is not the kind of business I want to grow in my neighborhood.
«❑? 1 They donate millions of dollars to anti-LGBT organizations that promote gay conversion "therapy." I do not want such a business in my city.
Q 1 Comment: This is not a "political litmus test'. It is a refusal to provide economic benefits to enterprises that contradict our Bill of Rights.
Eg 1. Keep hate (and junk food) out of our community.
ED 1. As a queer person and a vegetarian I am opposed to a company that foments hate and actively works to take away my civil and matrimonial rights. This
is a company that treats its employees and its chickens poorly. We can do better.
1 - municipalities should have and defend principles of human rights.
+OS 1 LGBT is a huge class of individuals, whose existence is opposed by key Chick-fil-A stakeholders. This is not an overly specific or overly political test.
ED 1. So against this. No anti LGBTQ:white_flag::rainbow businesses belong in Redwood City, period!!!
«❑5 1 what does this say about our communityvalues by allowing any business that discriminates
Q 1 We don't want a business that discriminates against people no matter their gender. Period!
Q 1 - We have enough cheap imitation food -like substances to feed those who don't know any better. And this is NOT political. This is a human issue. Any
company that threatens a group of people based on race, religion, color, creed, class, gender, orientation, national origin, familystatus, age, disability, marital
status, ancestry, veteran status, or sexual orientation should not be welcomed to do business in our community, let alone rewarded for their goods or services
in a democratic society.
Q 1. How is being anti-LGBTQ political? Where did the philosophy of live and let live go? Respect and treating everyone in the society equally? Tired of the
lives of people being called a political litmus test.
*g3 1 - I'm an LGBTQ resident of San Carlos. Supporting businesses that actively oppress go against our values. No please
Qa 1 No, no, no. We don't need hate -promoting enterprises to profit in our communities.
0 1 - It is a company that is anti LGBTQ and tries to hide its discrimination in religious beliefs. Discrimination based on religious belief isjust asvile as
discrimination based on any criteria.
