What this company needs to realize is that they need to separate their business from religion and politics. This is something that to me seems very outdated. What is more important to them? Their views can alienate potential customers. I know we cannot change their minds, but [hat's what I think. Sorry to rant! But in other words, I am okay with the restaurant opening in our area. 41 don't support the views and likely will not patronize them. But I am sure there are many other business here with offensive views. They have a right to open theirs 5 as much as I oppose the practices and viewpoints of this company, they have a right to own a business. It is a slippery slope if we stop businesses from opening because of ideology. The proper way to show opposition is to boycott and not give them any business. They will never get my business and I will do all that I can to make sure no one I know gives them any business! 4,1 disagree with the company's views, but do like the food...conflicted S. Many companies express opposing views. 5 The city shall not discriminate businesses who create employment opportunities, consumer choice, and tax revenue,just because some people disagree with opinions of their shareholders. Consumers can (and should) decide if their political positions trump their taste buds. Not the government. I say this as a gay man who disagrees with the company's owners on their political agenda. 5.1 don't like their politics but I don't think that should stop them from doing business here and if I choose to go there or not that is up to me. In opposition: Bl 1-- they ARE anti-LGBTQ. Would RC want a company that is anti -Hispanic or anti -African-American or anti -Muslim? I HOPE not!!! NO Chic-fil-a in RC or anywhere. 2a 1. Strongly disagree. The corporate agenda of chick-fil-A is anti -birth control, anti -choice, anti-LGBTQ. We can grab some other crappy fast food at another place «25 1 if people object to new housing on the basis of "it could change the community's character" I'll sure as hell object to a company that's homophobic opening up. +zz 1 - I would rather have my chicken sandwiches without a side of bigotry. «2z 1 Hate is Hate and Chick-fil-A's values and investments revolve around discrimination.Just like we ask for separation of church and state in government, we need corporate entities to stop spewing hateful rhetoric and investing corporate funds in the perpetuation of discrimination.Pedwood City is better than this and should not being allowing such a discriminatory business in our open and inclusive community. «14 2. There is a point where communities can stand up against businesses that are not equitable. if the community does not support these beliefs then it is their right to oppose chick-fil-a. If the business did not want to subject themselves to this type ofjudgement they should never have mixed their business with these stances to start with. «12 1 our community does not need a business associated with hate and anti -inclusion of certain citizens. The only way this company will get the message is if cities take a stand. «ro 1 Welcoming people of all sexual orientations has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with creating an inclusive and safe environment. Eg 1. Not only the politics are abhorrent, but the nutrition is questionable. Healthy food should be encouraged"
