Objective: We want to help as a conduit for community feedback and communicate to the <br />public about Library policies and services, as well as city wide issues, in person and digitally. <br />Support Library Director <br />in interpreting <br />community feedback <br />and responding to <br />possible service <br />changes <br />Identify strategies for <br />gathering feedback from <br />underserved <br />populations <br />• Many new programming, service changes <br />to take place in 2019-20 (e.g., Library <br />Takeover program, Makerspace). <br />• We are a sounding board for Library <br />Director to help proactively address <br />feedback to improve services. <br />• We want to operationalize better ways to <br />reach underserved populations (e.g., <br />people of color, seniors, veterans, <br />LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, and <br />opportunity youth aged 16-24 who are not <br />currently in school or employed) <br />The Board proactively brings <br />community feedback themes <br />monthly and collaborates with <br />Library Director to develop <br />communications plan. <br />Board to hold strategic session to <br />regularly reach populations to <br />solicit input on events, <br />programming -- especially digital <br />channels. <br />One solid tactic is to ensure we <br />remain connected with North Fair <br />Oaks community. <br />0 <br />moa <br />City= <br />Library Board <br />Work Plan, 7 <br />
