Commencement of Grant Period: <br />Interim Report & Financial <br />Report due: <br />Expiration of Grant Period: <br />End of Year Final Report & <br />Financial Statement due: <br />Important Dates <br />July 1, 2019 <br />January 8, 2020 <br />June 30, 2020 <br />August 30, 2020 <br />Grant Award <br />$50,000.00 <br />Reports must be submitted to the Program Director by the above due dates. <br />(4) Books and records of the expenditures of the grant funds will be made available to the <br />Foundation for inspection and copying at all reasonable times. <br />(5) The grant proceeds will not be used for any of the following purposes: <br />a. To cant' out propaganda or otherwise attempt to influence legislation; <br />b. To influence the outcome of any specific election or to carry on, directly or <br />indirectly, any voter registration drives; <br />c. For any purposes other than those specified in Section 170 (c) (2) (B) of <br />the hrternal Revenue Code (e.g., charitable, educational or scientific <br />purposes). <br />(6) The Grantee will advise the Foundation immediately if the Internal Revenue Service <br />gives notification that there has been or will be any change in the Grantee's tax- exempt <br />status. <br />(7) In consideration of accepting the grant from the Foundation, the Grantee shall <br />indemnify, defend, and hold the Foundation, its officers, employees, and agents <br />harmless from and against any and all liability, loss, expense (including reasonable <br />attorneys' fees), or claims for injury or damages directly or indirectly arising out of or <br />related to the Grantee performance of this Grant Agreement, or the administration or <br />use of grant funds by Grantee provided under this Grant Agreement, but only in <br />proportion to and to the extent such liability, loss, expense, attorneys' fees, or claims <br />for injury or damages are caused by or result from the negligent or intentional acts or <br />W: 05-15-19 RL <br />Page 2 of 6 <br />AM/AGR.2019.131/Shinnyo-en Agreement FY2019-20 <br />
