6.Q. CWJ� REDWOOD CITY <br />PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAM ASSISTANT 1/11 Continued <br />Parks and Recreation Program Assistant II <br />Receives direct supervision from management personnel. May receive technical <br />and functional direction from higher level personnel. May be responsible for <br />providing direction and oversight to temporary staff and volunteers. <br />EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br />Parks and Recreation Program Assistant I <br />1. Provide support in the setup of activities and programs. <br />2. Provide support in the coordination of programs or activities. <br />3. Operate facilities during weekday, weekend or evening hours. <br />4. Set up rooms and break them down. <br />5. Open and close facility. <br />6. Assist customers with completing rental and registration forms. <br />7. May register participants, collect payments, deposit funds, and schedule activities <br />and facility rentals, or track usage of facilities, as well as ensuring all appropriate <br />paperwork is on file and complete. <br />8. Answer phones and e-mails. <br />9. Assist patrons, and provide front desk coverage as needed. <br />10. Serve as a liaison to participants, staff, and community organizations. <br />11. Perform light maintenance. <br />12. Assist with facility scheduling. <br />In addition to the above listed duties, the Parks and Recreation Program <br />Assistant II important and essential duties include. <br />13.
