6.U. - Page 12 of 47 COMMUNITY INPUT & WRITTEN PROTEST PROCEDURES The City hereby gives notice that a public hearing on the proposed sewer rate increases will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. Members of the community, property owners and customers are invited to attend the public hearing. At the public hearing, the City Council will consider public comments as well as written protests opposing the proposed sewer rate increases submitted by property owners or customers of record. If, prior to the close of the public input portion of the public hearing, written protests are received from a majority of parcels subject to the proposed sewer rate increase, the City will not adopt the proposed rates. If you would like additional information on the proposed rates, please visit Public Works at 1400 Broadway or call (650) 780-7464. Any interested person may appear at the public hearing and be heard on any matter related to the proposed rate increases. If you wish to file a written protest, it can be delivered to the City Clerk at the public hearing or mailed or delivered to the City Clerk prior to the hearing at Sewer Rates, City Clerk, City of Redwood City, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA 94063. To be counted, written protests must 1) identify the affected property or properties, such as by address, Assessor's Parcel Number, or customer account number, 2) include the name and original signature of the property owner or customer of record submitting the protest, and 3) indicate opposition to the proposed sewer rates. Only one protest per parcel will be counted. Written protests must be received prior to the close of the public hearing on June 10, 2019.
