Construction Meetings - The applicant is required to contact the Permit Counter <br />(650.780.7350) to schedule the following meetings prior to or during construction. <br />[COA] [BUILDING] <br />a. Pre -Submittal - Prior to building permit submittal, schedule a pre -submittal meeting <br />with Building, Planning, Engineering and Fire staff to discuss the permitting process and <br />submittal requirements. <br />b. Pre -Construction - After City permits are issued, but prior to start of construction, <br />schedule a pre -construction meeting with Engineering, Building, Fire, and Planning staff <br />to discuss the inspection process and requirements for construction and site work. The <br />applicant shall arrange for the attendance of the owner, developer, construction manager, <br />contractor, and all subcontractors who are responsible for grading and erosion and <br />sedimentation protection controls. <br />c. Interior Finishes & Amenities - After sheetrock inspection but prior to installation, <br />contact the Project Planner and Housing Staff to verify, to the City's satisfaction, that all <br />interior finishes and amenities in the affordable units are equivalent to amenities used in <br />market rate units. <br />74. Construction Management and Staging - Prior to encroachment permit issuance, submit a <br />construction parking management plan, which shall outline the number of construction <br />workers by phase, phase duration, where parking will be located for each phase. Construction <br />parking, material storage, equipment, or other construction -related uses are not allowed within <br />the City right of way without prior approval from the City Engineer. [COA] [ENGINEERING] <br />75. Lane Closures -Traffic control for lane closures shall conform to the Work Area Traffic Control <br />Handbook. Street closures require submission of traffic control plans and approval in advance. <br />[SDR] [ENGINEERING] <br />76. Grading - Grading shall be performed in accordance with the City's Engineering Standards. <br />Soil or other construction materials shall not be stockpiled in the public right-of-way. Submit <br />cut/fill volumes (CY) for all soils to be imported to or exported from the site. <br />[SDR] [ENGINEERING] <br />77. Monitoring - The Soils Engineer shall conduct continuous site inspections during trenching <br />and backfill operations at the applicant's expense. The Soils Engineer shall take compaction <br />tests and submit the results to Engineering & Construction. [SDR] [ENGINEERING] <br />78. Winterizing - If construction is not complete by the start of the wet season (October 1 through <br />April 30), implement a winterization program to minimize the potential for erosion and <br />sedimentation. As appropriate to the site and status of construction, winterization <br />requirements shall include inspecting/maintaining/cleaning all soil erosion and sedimentation <br />controls prior to, during, and immediately after each storm event; stabilizing disturbed soils <br />through temporary or permanent seeding, mulching, matting, tarping or other physical means; <br />ATTY/RESO.0037/PC RESO RECOMMENDING THE PROJECT— SOB RATO <br />REV: 04-29-19 PR <br />Page 20 of 22 <br />
