I was also able to listen to many
great motivating speakers. The exposition of vendors was also very interesting and I was able to speak to
some on what they are doing to serve cities. Some of our won vendors were there and had great things to
say about working for RedWOOd City.

Some of the topics that I learned about were Planning Public Forums: Answering the Right Questions to
Maximize the Success of Your Civic Engagement, and Establishing and Managing Impact Fee Programs
and the Future of User Fees in a Changing Environment

The key note speakers that I heard were Mark Sanborn and Sir Ken Robinson. Both were very good and
brought their unique perspectives to the work we do.

I was also able to attend an event for the Latino Caucus of the League of California Cities.

This was a great conference. Another benefit was meeting colleagues from around the Peninsula and the
State as well as some of our Legislators.

Ii'!
