❑ Establish an assembly point a safe distance from the scene, where all persons evacuated from <br />the scene should be gathered for identification, interviewing, and medical treatment. <br />Exceptions will be made for persons who need immediate transportation to a medical facility. <br />❑ Establish a perimeter around the site and assembly point, and staff this perimeter to prevent <br />unauthorized entry or exit. <br />❑ Evacuate nearby properties if necessary. <br />❑ Provide traffic control around the site to keep the public a safe distance away and provide clear <br />access for first responders. <br />❑ Notify members of the public about the incident, emphasizing keeping the public and informed <br />as to the status of the active shooting/violent intruder event, using NIXLE and SMC Alert as <br />needed. <br />Administration and Logistics <br />Standard emergency administration and supply procedures will be used.
