❑ Notify members of the public and the media through appropriate channels. <br />❑ Contact local medical facilities and inform them to prepare for incoming victims of an active <br />shooting/violent intruder event. <br />❑ Contact Firestorm for crisis management at (800) 321-2219. <br />Condition 2: An active shooter/violent intruder incident is ongoing. Coordination between multiple City <br />departments is necessary. The EOC is operating at Level II (Alert Level). <br />❑ Dispatch law enforcement and emergency medical response staff, along with other first <br />responders that may be needed. <br />❑ Alert off-duty first responders and other relevant staff to the situation and inform them that <br />they may be mobilized. <br />❑ Coordinate activities across City departments <br />❑ Activate the Police Department Operations Center and other Department Operations Centers <br />as needed. <br />❑ Reroute traffic as needed to isolate the scene. <br />❑ Contact Firestorm for crisis management at (800) 321-2219. <br />❑ Contact local medical facilities and inform them to prepare for incoming victims of an active <br />shooting/violent intruder event. <br />J Notify members of the public and the media through appropriate channels. <br />Condition 1: There are or potentially are multiple active shooter/violent intruder incidents, or a single <br />large active shooter/violent intruder incident that exceeds the City's responsive capabilities or has the <br />potential to become so. The EOC is operating at Level III (Respond Level). <br />❑ Mobilize all on and off-duty law enforcement and emergency medical response staff, along with <br />other first responders that may be needed. <br />❑ Activate staff as necessary for EOC operations. <br />❑ Activate the Police Department Operations Center and other Department Operations Centers <br />as needed. <br />❑ Reroute traffic as needed to isolate the scene. <br />❑ Coordinate with the San Mateo County Operational Area on incident status and the need for <br />any mutual aid. <br />❑ Contact local medical facilities and inform them to prepare for incoming victims of an active <br />shooting/violent intruder event. <br />❑ Contact Firestorm for crisis management at (800) 321-2219. <br />❑ Notify members of the public and the media through appropriate channels. <br />Initial Operational Objectives <br />❑ Eliminate the threat, emphasizing speed of response and the safety of innocent lives. <br />❑ Provide emergency medical treatment to injured persons. <br />
