• Fire Chief: <br />- Serve as the Emergency Plan Coordinator <br />- Appoint an influenza pandemic liaison to county and State health departments, county and <br />State emergency management organizations and regional and local emergency planning or <br />emergency management representatives including local hospitals, business and schools <br />- Support City departmental activities/responses as determined by City Manager <br />• Finance Officer: <br />- Approve emergency purchases exempt from bidding requirements in conformance with City <br />Code <br />- Coordinate with all departments for anticipated purchases, consider increased Calcard limits <br />and adding Calcards within departments as requested <br />- Define purchases that may qualify as exempt from bidding due to the emergency <br />- Coordinate with the City Manager and Legal to devolve emergency purchase approval to <br />purchasing division <br />- Address budget and revenue needs during the pandemic, including determining the <br />economic impact of influenza pandemic on finances. (A pandemic can reduce revenues and <br />increase emergency expenditures.) <br />• Police Chief: <br />- Liaison with Statewide intelligence community and recipients of public health intelligence <br />• Department Heads: <br />- Develop and maintain the department pandemic matrix <br />- Implement the department pandemic matrix as determined by the City Manager <br />N <br />
