D-37 <br />Continue Phases 1, 2, 3, and 4 strategies, plus: <br />• Activate the EOC. <br />• Limit public meetings and events to only those critical to carry on the <br />essential functions of government. Limit face-to-face contact and <br />consider canceling community education, events, and City classroom <br />training. <br />• Implement procedures to carry on customer contacts (e.g., defining <br />sanitary precautions to be taken, distances to be maintained, PPE to <br />be used, etc.) <br />• Maintain daily/weekly staffing status updates to track <br />availability of staff for continued operations. <br />• Reassign staff not performing essential functions within <br />Department, as needed and appropriate, to staff public information <br />call centers or EOC phone banks. <br />• Department Directors or designees conduct daily welfare checks on <br />sick employees through phone calls and e-mail. <br />• Implement employee self -screening for respiratory illness/fever. <br />Inform employees with respiratory illness/fever they are not <br />Phase 5 -larger clusters <br />permitted to come to work. <br />localized human to human <br />transmission <br />• Supervisors require ill employees to leave work and not return until <br />recovered to prevent exposing other employees to illness. <br />• Where feasible, consider telecommute for key <br />administration roles. <br />• Distribute masks, gloves and disinfecting supplies and consider <br />use of masks while interacting with public. <br />• Re-emphasize procedures for infection control (hand washing, <br />cough and sneeze etiquette, cleaning procedures for shared <br />vehicles and office equipment, especially phones, keyboards, <br />desktops, countertops, doorknobs, steering wheels, door handles, <br />and buttons, knobs, controls, etc.) <br />• Avoid contact with people showing any symptoms of infection <br />(respiratory illness and /or fever) unless protected by a mask. <br />• Consider canceling vacation/out of town travel. <br />• Keep vehicle fuel levels at 3/4 full or more. <br />D-37 <br />
