(AECOM) for <br />the 101/84 (Woodside Road) Interchange Project Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) and Right of <br />Way Support (R/W Support) phase <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 3 to the Agreement with <br />AECOM in the amount not to exceed $504,761 for additional services pertaining to custom structure <br />aesthetic design, right of way support and field surveys, and extend the term of Agreement to September <br />30, 2020; and authorize the City Manager to further amend the Agreement in an amount not to exceed <br />$125,000 to cover supplemental additional services (if needed). <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />In coordination with Caltrans and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (TA), the City <br />successfully completed the Project Approval and Environmental Document (PA&ED) phase of the 101/84 <br />Interchange Project in December 2016. <br />In August 2017, the City entered into a professional services agreement with AECOM to provide highway <br />engineering design services for the Project. When the City Council approved the agreement, the Council <br />also authorized the City Manager to increase the amount up to 10 percent, if necessary. <br />AECOM has successfully completed Project Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) Support task efforts <br />(for example, field surveys, geotechnical investigations, design reports and landscape/aesthetic <br />conceptual plans) and Right of Way Support task efforts (such as utility coordination, refinement of right <br />of way needs, and coordination and design related to the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR)). These efforts, <br />among others, supported the development of the 65% Complete PS&E and its submittal to Caltrans, the <br />City, and San Mateo County for review. <br />109 <br />
