6.B. - Page 1 of 28 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />A,&/ <br />DATE: July 22, 2019 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with AECOM for environmental consulting services <br />for the South Main Mixed -Use Project at 1601 EI Camino Real <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to the environmental <br />consulting services agreement with AECOM for the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report in <br />accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act for the South Main Mixed -Use Project at 1601 <br />EI Camino Real in the amount of $439,702, for a total amount not to exceed $922,250. <br />STRATEGIC INITIATIVE <br />Community Building and Communication <br />BACKGROUND <br />On December 17, 2018, the City Council authorized a contract with AECOM (consultant) at a cost of <br />$482,548 for the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) in accordance with the California <br />Environmental Quality Act for the South Main Mixed -Use Project at 1601 EI Camino Real (project). <br />The project consists of 8.3 acres over six blocks (labeled A -F in Figure 1 below) and includes: <br />Proposed Demolition <br />• Demolition of the existing buildings, including Towne Ford/Acura, California Detail, Inc., Main & <br />Elm, Main Street Self Service Car Wash, the former Redwood Roller Rink, and the former Precision <br />Auto. <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore <br />22 <br />
