6.B. - Page 19 of 28 Appendix 4: Circulation Study for the Triangle Bounded by Maple Street, EI Camino Real, and Main Street SCOPE OF WORK Consultant will complete the following tasks as part of this scope of work. The Consultant will use Fehr & Peers for this study, although Consultant shall be ultimately responsible for this work. This scope of work is for a transportation circulation study for the area bounded by EI Camino Real, Maple Street, and Main Street south of downtown Redwood City, California (study area). The purpose of this study is to consolidate various proposed transportation improvements in the area and to develop a preferred comprehensive multi -modal circulation network for the area, including intersection configurations, control, as well as identifying priority pedestrian and bicycle access points and infrastructure needs. The final circulation system will then be used as a cumulative baseline for use in transportation impact analyses, such as the South Main Street development. The tasks required to prepare the circulation study are included. Task 1: Cumulative Forecasts Table 1 presents a list of the study intersections within the circulation study area that are currently within the scope of the South Main Street TIA and those that will be included as part of the circulation study. Consultant will use the cumulative forecasts being developed for the South Main Street TIA as the basis for the future volume forecasts for the remaining circulation study intersections. The intersection volumes will be balanced among each other to ensure that the network demonstrates adequate demand on all roadway segments. Intersection turning movement volumes will be derived for AM and PM peak hours.
