REV: 07-12-22 RL <br />Exhibit “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />1.Scope of Work/Tasks <br />The Consultant will create volunteer work experience opportunities for people experiencing <br />homelessness in Redwood City (hereinafter "Team Members" or "Team"). Team Members <br />volunteer work experience will include, but is not limited to, picking up litter, emptying trash <br />receptacles in and around the Redwood City Downtown area, .or other mutually agreed upon <br />areas of Redwood City as needed, and reporting cases of vandalism and graffiti. Consultant <br />will initially focus cleanup efforts in the Downtown area between 8AM- Noon. With the donation <br />of a vehicle, Consultant plans to extend cleanup efforts throughout Redwood City. Team <br />Members will not work on City recognized holidays or during inclement weather. Consultant <br />will additionally provide illegal dumping waste services for the City and encampment waste <br />services to homeless encampment locations throughout the City. <br />Each Team Member will be offered Consultant's unique opt-in and individualized case <br />management approach. Team Members are not employees of Downtown Streets Team. The <br />model is designed to provide a supportive environment and a pathway out of homelessness or <br />housing insecurity and a pathway toward employment. <br />Consultant will provide support services to assist Team Members in transitioning to permanent <br />employment. Such services may include: job search classes and personalized job search <br />support, employment development, developing internship placements, developing mentor <br />opportunities, and case management for employment related activities. <br />Consultant will also, through the use of their employees, explain and promote all of the services <br />that are available to homeless individuals, and encourage homeless individuals to access these <br />services. <br />Consultant will work closely with case managers at partner agencies including Life Moves, <br />Street Life Ministries, The Redwood City Police Department, the Fair Oaks Community Center, <br />the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County, Project WeHOPE, and other key partner <br />agencies as identified by the City of Redwood City to assure services to individual Team <br />Members are coordinated. <br />Consultant will coordinate with the City of Redwood City on project specifics, including periodic <br />check-ins with the Community Policing Officer, the Homeless Services Manager, the Public <br />Works Right of Way Superintendent, and other designated City staff for the purpose of <br />coordinating, reporting and monitoring Consultant efforts to maximize impact; participation in <br />the monthly Homeless Outreach Team Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings (conducted <br />every third Tuesday of the month); participation in the Redwood City Homeless Outreach and <br />Service Provider’s group, and other meetings as requested by the Homeless Services <br />Manager. <br />Consultant will conduct outreach to businesses in order to expedite hiring processes for Team <br />Members. <br />Consultant will provide monthly progress reports to the City. <br />ATTY/AGR.2022/Amend.
