EXHIBIT A <br />Scope of Work <br />1. Scope of Work/Tasks <br />The Contractor will create volunteer work experience opportunities for people experiencing <br />homelessness in Redwood City (hereinafter "Team Members" or "Team"). Team Members <br />volunteer work experience will include, but is not limited to, picking up litter, emptying trash <br />receptacles in and around the Redwood City Downtown area, reporting safety hazards such as <br />raised sidewalks, inoperable lighting, and quality of life issues such as vandalism and graffiti. <br />Contractor will initially focus cleanup efforts in the Downtown area between 8AM — Noon. With <br />the donation of a vehicle, Contractor plans to extend cleanup efforts throughout Redwood City. <br />Team Members will not work on City recognized holidays or during inclement weather. <br />Each Team Member will be offered Contractor's unique opt -in and individualized case <br />management approach. <br />Contractor will provide support services to assist Team Members in transitioning to permanent <br />employment. Such services may include: job search classes and personalized job search support, <br />employment development, developing internship placements, developing mentor opportunities, <br />and case management for employment related activities. <br />Contractor shall also, through the use of their employees, explain and promote all of the services <br />that are available to homeless individuals, and encourage homeless individuals to access these <br />services. <br />Contractor will work closely with case managers at partner agencies including Life Moves, <br />Street Life Ministries, The Redwood City Police Department, the Fair Oaks Community Center, <br />the Mental Health Association of San Mateo County, Project WeHOPE, and other other key <br />partner agencies as identified by the City of Redwood City to assure services to individual Team <br />Members are coordinated. <br />Contractor will coordinate with the City of Redwood City on project specifies, including periodic <br />check -ins with the Police Homeless Outreach Coordinator and the Human Services Manager for <br />the purpose of coordinating, reporting and monitoring Contractor efforts to maximize impact; <br />participation in the monthly Homeless Outreach Team Multi -Disciplinary Team (MDT) <br />meetings (conducted every third Tuesday of the month); and participation in the Housing and <br />Homeless Innovation Team (HHIT) meetings for periodic updates and to determine the most <br />appropriate deployment sites for Downtown Streets Team's services. <br />Contractor will conduct outreach to businesses in order to expedite hiring processes for Team <br />Members. <br />Contractor will provide monthly progress reports using a template provided by the City. <br />Contractor will work with the City to develop sustainable funding streams to offset City financial <br />contributions in fiscal year 2020-2021 and beyond, while maintaining the same level of service <br />in the City throughout. <br />REV: 07-11-19 RL <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />ATTY/AGR.2019.201/DST Agreement <br />
