Since 1984, True North Consulting Group has been a trusted technology consultant to numerous municipalities, government agencies, schools and businesses. Examples of previous successful projects completed by True North include the Dallas Fort Worth airport Terminal D Network assessment, a Security Assessment for the City of Santa Cruz, Video Surveillance for the Minneapolis Convention Center, as well as several other projects at various police departments, fire departments, hospitals, and city government buildings throughout the nation. FISCAL IMPACT Funding for the $61,545.00 purchase already exists within the Facility Security Improvements Project in the Capital Outlay Fund. Approval of this expenditure will have no increase or fiscal impact to the City, other than that which was previously anticipated, and for which funds were budgeted. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. PUBLIC NOTICE Public Notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 hours prior to the meeting ALTERNATIVES The City Council may elect not to approve the contract and may elect to enter into a contract with one of the four other vendors, or the City Council may reject all bids.
