Five of the Committee members are required to be
residents of the City of Redwood City. Two Committee members may reside in unincorporated Redwood
City or be employed within the City of Redwood City. This will bring the perspective of residents who
identify with the City, but may not live within its jurisdictional limits, and that of Redwood City workers
who are impacted by the City's transportation projects and policies.
Membership Terms
The majority of the City's boards, commissions and committees serve four-year terms. To create staggered
terms, staff recommended on April 22 and the City Council approved that the three Committee members
who were appointed in 2018 and 2019 (LaShonda Kennedy, Kimberly Koch and Patricia Seith) would not
need to reapply for their seats and their terms will expire on June 30, 2023. Four new members would be
recruited and appointed for two-year terms that expire on June 30, 2021.
274
