7.A. - Page 2 of 3 ANALYSIS The City Clerk's Office initiated recruitment for the open seats on May 1, 2019 and the recruitment period concluded July 12, 2019, an approximately a 10 -week period. The recruitment process included outreach through the City's website and all the City's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln) as well as announcements during City Council meetings, and advertisements on the City's government channel. The City Clerk's Office received a total of 18 applications. On August 5, 2019 the City Council interviewed 16 qualified applicants for the Transportation Advisory Committee. Three original applicants withdrew from consideration, and one applicant was unable to attend the interviews but requested that he be considered for appointment based on his application. Of the applicants interviewed, Matthew Self lives in unincorporated Redwood City and Elizabeth Dallman works in Redwood City. ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW The proposed action is not a "project" for purposes of CEQA, as that term is defined in CEQA Guidelines Section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or foreseeable physical change in the environment.
