7.A. - Page 2 of 3 <br />ANALYSIS <br />The City Clerk's Office initiated recruitment for the open seats on May 1, 2019 and the recruitment period <br />concluded July 12, 2019, an approximately a 10 -week period. The recruitment process included outreach <br />through the City's website and all the City's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln) as well <br />as announcements during City Council meetings, and advertisements on the City's government channel. <br />The City Clerk's Office received a total of 18 applications. On August 5, 2019 the City Council interviewed <br />16 qualified applicants for the Transportation Advisory Committee. Three original applicants withdrew <br />from consideration, and one applicant was unable to attend the interviews but requested that he be <br />considered for appointment based on his application. Of the applicants interviewed, Matthew Self lives <br />in unincorporated Redwood City and Elizabeth Dallman works in Redwood City. <br />Applicants to be considered for appointment by the City Council are as follows: <br />• Morgan Aitken -Young <br />• Margarita Parra Cobaleda <br />• Monica Colondres <br />• James Cowing <br />• Elizabeth Dallman <br />• Alex Emly <br />• Zachary Fennie <br />• Robert Nils Lion <br />• Ben Packer <br />• Rebecca Ratcliff <br />• Ralph Robinson <br />• Paul Sanfilipo <br />• Matthew Self <br />• Christopher Sturken <br />• Victoria Tinoco <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The costs associated with recruitment and administering Boards, Commissions and Committees are <br />included in the City Clerk's Office budget. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The proposed action is not a "project" for purposes of CEQA, as that term is defined in CEQA Guidelines <br />Section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or foreseeable physical change <br />in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public Notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting <br />275 <br />
