These CIP projects
are intended to replace aging pipes and streets that are close to failure, to increase the size of mains for
additional flow and capacity and to improve the overall systems' performance, service and reliability to
the residents and businesses on that street and surrounding neighborhoods.
Priority rankings for replacing these pipelines and streets are determined by City staff based on the
existing condition and/or capacity. For the upcoming two years, staff anticipates that about 10 miles of
potable water, sanitary sewer, storm drain and recycled water pipelines, and streets will need to be newly
constructed, improved, replaced or rehabilitated.
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
83
