Update (information only) — Next steps - affordable housing tools and policies <br />Housing and Economic Development Manager Webb explained next steps in tools <br />and policies for development in moving forward. (PowerPoint presentation on file.) <br />Council Members made comments related to the two topics of need versus <br />community, appreciation for the work done, concern that unless incentives are <br />available there will not be County equity, that rental units afford the biggest result, <br />and that community education is required. Questions were asked relative to density <br />bonus and the role of HEART. <br />8. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub - section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus Bulletin No. 36 -2007 and 37 -2007. Council may direct staff to act on <br />positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities Priority Focus <br />available in City Clerk's Department). <br />9.
