6.C. - Page 12 of 33 <br />EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE <br />VETERANS MEMORIAL BUILDING/SENIOR CENTER PROJECT (Project) <br />CONSULTANT also referred to herein as Project Manager or "PM", shall provide <br />project management and inspection services to the City. <br />PROJECT MANAGEMENT / INSPECTION SERVICES <br />CONSULTANT shall provide general project management and inspection services for <br />the Project. CONSULTANT shall act as the City's representative to provide project <br />management, oversight and quality control inspection services by administering the <br />contract documents and coordinating with CITY, general contractor ("Contractor(s)"), <br />CITY's consultants and contractors, utility companies, and members of the public as <br />necessary to complete the Project. Project management shall include all activities <br />associated with initiating, planning executing, controlling, and closing the Project within <br />the given constraints. These activities include, but not be limited to, the following: <br />1.0 PRE -CONSTRUCTION (TASK 1) <br />1.1 Constructability Review - General. The project management team or project <br />manager (collectively "PM") shall conduct constructability reviews of the design <br />documents to ascertain whether the Project, as depicted in the design <br />documents: <br />(i) accurately and completely reflect the CITY's use/occupancy and Project <br />budget objectives of the Project; and, <br />(ii) the design documents for the Project are free of errors, omissions, conflicts, <br />or other deficiencies that are patently observable so that the Contractor(s) <br />can construct the Project as depicted in the design documents without <br />delays, disruptions or additional costs resulting from errors, omissions, <br />conflicts or other deficiencies in the design documents ("Constructability <br />Reviews"). <br />It is recognized that the PM's Constructability Reviews are made in its capacity as a <br />project manager and not as a licensed design professional. The PM is not <br />responsible for providing, nor does the PM control, the Project design or the <br />contents of the design documents. The PM's actions in reviewing the Project <br />design and design documents and in making recommendations as provided <br />herein are advisory only to the CITY. The Architect is not a third -party <br />beneficiary of the PM's work described in this paragraph and the Architect <br />remains solely responsible for the contents of design drawings and design <br />documents. <br />REV: 08-28-19 PR <br />ATTY/AGR.2019.216/Gilbane (Page 9 of 30) <br />
