EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The Consultant shall provide On -Call Surveying Services on as needed; as requested; <br />and as specified for various City approved projects and tasks in each particular "On -Call <br />Surveying Services" request. Such work shall be within the Consultant's area or <br />competence, experience and expertise; as outlined on the Statement of Qualifications <br />submitted by the Consultant to the Redwood City Engineering and Transportation <br />Division and previous Request for Proposals of Surveying Services. <br />Under this task, the Consultant shall prepare for the City, topographic survey base <br />maps, boundary surveys, legal descriptions, etc. for various City approved projects and <br />tasks. Base maps will be utilized during the design stage of upcoming Capital <br />Improvement Projects to determine all necessary physical features within the project <br />limits and the project scope as listed, but not limited to below. <br />1.1 SCOPE OF WORK: <br />The Consultant is to provide the following Scope of Services described herein as the <br />minimum necessary to meet the City's objectives. The Consultant is expected to expand <br />on the scope by incorporating their expertise and may provide additional services that <br />are not included in the work with the consent of the City's Engineer. <br />1. The Consultant shall perform preparation of base map, as requested, and shall <br />include, but not limited to the following: <br />a. Project's Kick-off Meeting with the City. <br />I. Consultant shall meet with the City and prepare an agenda to discuss the <br />project's scope and goals, design assumptions, etc. <br />b. Ground Survey: Topographic survey shall include all physical features within <br />the project limit listed, include also any grade breaks or man made <br />improvements not listed: <br />i. Sanitary sewer manhole rim elevations, pipe inverts at manhole, pipe <br />diameters, sanitary sewer lateral cleanouts and sanitary sewer lines. <br />Locate and determine exact locations of existing sanitary sewer lateral <br />cleanouts as much as possible. Cleanouts that are not determined, shall <br />be labeled "CO NOT FOUND" on the base map. <br />ii. Storm drain or storm sewer manhole rim elevations, pipe inverts at <br />manhole, pipe diameters, drain inlets bottom, drain inlets pipe inverts, <br />catch basin grate elevations and storm drain lines. <br />iii. Water valve boxes, meter boxes, anode boxes, fire hydrants and water <br />lines. Measure the distance to the top of the valve nuts.
