x <br />EXHIBIT E <br />Bay Division Pipeline Reliability Upgrade Project <br />Communications and Public Outreach Plan for City <br />PROJECT COORDINATION AND <br />PUBLIC OUTREACH AND COMMUNICATIONS <br />1.1. Community Outreach - Prior to Commencement of Construction <br />CCSF and its communications consultants will conduct targeted community <br />outreach and information dissemination during the period prior to the commencement of Project <br />construction. Outreach during this period shall include efforts such as: <br />(a) Direct mail of a Project Information/Fact Sheet (bilingual where appropriate) <br />to adjacent neighbors and stakeholders as deemed necessary by CCSF or <br />requested by City. <br />(b) Informational meetings as needed with neighborhood associations, <br />representatives and parents of impacted schools, merchants associations, and <br />other neighborhood groups. <br />(c) Creation of a Project web page, searchable or organized for easy navigation to <br />a particular segment of the construction, with street level updates on <br />construction activities. <br />1.2. Community Outreach — Immediate Pre - construction Period <br />(After Notice to Proceed to Contractor) <br />CCSF and its communications consultants will conduct targeted community <br />outreach and information dissemination during the period immediately prior to construction (i.e., <br />after issuance of "Notice to Proceed" to CCSF's Contractor (approximately 4 — 6 weeks prior to <br />start of construction). Outreach during this period shall include efforts such as: <br />(a) Direct mail and "door hangers" of a Project Information/Fact Sheet (bilingual <br />where appropriate) to adjacent neighbors and stakeholders, to include a <br />construction schedule, safety information, and Project contact <br />information/website. <br />(b) Distribution of news releases and production of informational newspaper <br />advertisements. <br />(c) Meetings with school staff, PTAs, and other neighborhood groups as needed <br />or requested. <br />(d) Bilingual information in "take -home packets" distributed to affected schools. <br />(e) Direct contact with adjacent residents to answer questions, offer walk - <br />throughs, ensure removal of personal property from construction area, etc. <br />(f) Frequent updating of Project web page. <br />E -1 <br />City of Redwood City MOA ver 030910 <br />
