07/26/2010 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15043 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THE ADOPTION OF THE <br />KAISER DOWNTOWN MEDICAL CAMPUS PRECISE PLAN AS <br />REVISED <br />WHEREAS, on December 2, 2002, the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br />( "City Council" or "Council ") adopted Ordinance No. 1130 -315, to permit the creation of <br />Planned Community Districts as an additional tool to assist the City with its future <br />planning activities; and <br />WHEREAS, in compliance with California Environmental Quality Act regulations, <br />on June 24, 2003, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City certified the <br />Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center Master Plan Final Environmental <br />Impact Report (EIR) and considered an Addendum prepared June 18, 2003, for the <br />Kaiser Downtown Medical Campus Precise Plan (the "Precise Plan ") prior to making a <br />decision on the project (CEQA Guidelines Section 15164 [d]). <br />WHEREAS, on July 1, 2003, the Planning Commission voted to recommend that <br />the City Council approve the Precise Plan and the associated Mitigation Monitoring and <br />Reporting Program; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 1, 2003, the Planning Commission voted to recommend to <br />the City Council that the existing Commercial Administrative (CA) and Central Business <br />(CB) zoning districts for the real properties included in the Precise Plan be rezoned to <br />Planned Community (P) zoning district; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 8, 2003, the City Council adopted the Precise Plan; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on September 8, 2003, the City Council approved the rezone of the <br />existing Commercial Administrative (CA) and Central Business (CB) zoning districts for <br />the real properties included in the Precise Plan to Planned Community (P) zoning <br />district; and <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.2031 1 #15043 <br />071210 MUFF # 304 <br />
