04/23/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15186 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OF THE <br /> CONSOLIDATED PLAN (2012-2013) AND APPLICATION FOR <br /> FEDERAL ASSISTANCE (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br /> GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP FUNDS); <br /> CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED <br /> CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2012-2013) <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program <br /> authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 <br /> (P.L. 93-383), as amended ("the Act"), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds <br /> develop a Consolidated Plan and provide for the issuance of grants in order to attain the <br /> objective of the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing <br /> and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Council, an <br /> Annual Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan (the "Action Plan") and an application to <br /> the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community <br /> Development Block Grant (the "Application") in the amount of approximately Six <br /> Hundred Seventy Seven Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Six Dollars ($677,266) and <br /> HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty <br /> Two Thousand Two Hundred Eighty Dollars ($222,280) for the period of July 1, 2012 <br /> through June 30, 2013; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Manager a Notice of <br /> ATTY/RES0.2227/ANNUAL ACTION PLAN CDBG RESO. # 15186 <br /> REV:04-16-12 VR MUFF # 304 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
