09/10/2012 <br /> checked by a certified mechanic and determined to be running in proper <br /> condition prior to operation. <br /> • All excavation, grading, and/or demolition activities shall be suspended when <br /> average wind speeds exceed 20 mph. <br /> • Vegetative ground cover(e.g. fast-germinating native grass seed)shall be <br /> planted in disturbed areas as soon as possible and watered appropriately until <br /> vegetation is established. <br /> • The simultaneous occurrence of excavation, grading, and gound-disturbing <br /> construction activities on the same area at any one time shall be limited. <br /> Activities shall be phased to reduce the amount of disturbed surfaces at any <br /> one time. <br /> • All trucks and equipment, including their tires, shall be washed off prior to <br /> leaving the site. <br /> • Sandbags or other erosion control measures shall be installed to prevent silt <br /> runoff to public roadways from sites with a slope greater than one percent. <br /> • Post a publicly visible sign with the telephone number and person to contact <br /> at the Lead Agency regarding dust complaints. This person shall respond and <br /> take corrective action within 48 hours. The Air District's phone number shall <br /> also be visible to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. <br /> Finding: Implementation of MM AIR— 1 would reduce construction-related air quality <br /> impacts to a less than significant level. <br /> Facts in Support of Finding: BAAQMD's basic construction mitigation measures were developed <br /> as feasible methods to reduce construction-related dust and construction-equipment <br /> exhaust to acceptable levels, as described in Section 2.8 - Air Quality of the Draft <br /> EIR on pages 119-125, which is hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> Biolo�ical Resources <br /> Impact: Impact BIO—2: Protected birds and bats, and their nests, may be present in <br /> landscaping or structures on site, and could be impacted by tree removal or building <br /> demolition during implementation of the proposed project. <br /> Mitigation: In compliance with the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the California Fish and Game <br /> Code,the following measures shall be implemented during the construction of the <br /> project to reduce and avoid construction-related impacts to nesting raptors, migratory <br /> birds, and/or bats: <br /> MM BIO-2.1: Preconstruction nesting bird surveys shall be conducted by a <br /> qualified wildlife biologist within two weeks of demolition/construction activities <br /> scheduled to take place between February 1 and July 31 (breeding season).
