CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDANT (Continued) <br /> Equipment maintenance record keeping systems, including their application <br /> in automated management information systems. <br /> Current development and trends in the equipment facilities and systems <br /> maintenance industry and the project management field. <br /> Abili to: <br /> Plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the development and implementation <br /> of building, custodial and fleet maintenance activities. <br /> Read, analyze and interpret building and construction plans and <br /> specifications. <br /> Develop a comprehensive equipment maintenance program. <br /> Diagnose defects and repair a variety of heavy automotive equipment. <br /> Develop and review equipment and vehicle specifications. <br /> Prepare and monitor a comprehensive fleet services budget. <br /> Skill to: <br /> Operate computers, word processing and programs for facilities, custodial <br /> and fleet management. <br /> Experience and Traininq Guidelines: <br /> Any combination of experience and training that would provide the required <br /> knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br /> knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> Experience: <br /> Four years of increasingly responsible experience in fleet and/or <br /> facility maintenance and management, including significant <br /> supervisory responsibility. <br /> Traininq: <br /> Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or <br /> university with major course work in public or business <br /> administration, fleet management, facility administration and <br /> management, or a related field. <br /> Riqht-Of-Wav <br /> Knowledqe of: <br /> Principles, practices, trades, and crafts used in streets and parking lot <br /> maintenance, street cleaning, sidewalk maintenance and repair, traffic <br /> control, and street tree maintenance. <br /> Page 7 of 30 RESO. # 15252 <br /> MUFF#903 <br />
