RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (1) APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, THE AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITIES OF REDWOOD CITY AND SAN CARLOS FOR FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN ANNUAL UPDATED EXHIBIT C TO THE AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT, AND (2) APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, THE AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OF FIRE SERVICES PERSONNEL FROM THE CITY OF SAN CARLOS TO CITY OF REDWOOD CITY

06/24/2013 <br /> Ryan Coy <br /> Nicholas Hinzo <br /> Thomas Hogue <br /> Brian Jenson <br /> Jeffrey Kirkish <br /> Sean 0'Connor <br /> Phillip Orille <br /> Stephen Paulazzo <br /> Thomas White <br /> Joshua Williams <br /> Redwood City will hire the San Carlos Emergency Preparedness & Outreach Coordinator, <br /> Christy Adonis, for the Redwood City position of Emergency Preparedness & Outreach <br /> Coordinator upon determination that such individual meets minimum Redwood City <br /> requirements. <br /> 2.4 TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT <br /> Except as otherwise provided by this Agreement, Redwood City's policies, procedures, past <br /> practices, and applicable labor agreements will govern all terms and conditions of <br /> employment for San Carlos employees hired by Redwood City in July 2013 in connection with <br /> the 'Amended and Restated Agreement between Cities of Redwood City and San Carlos for <br /> Fire& Emergency Services". <br /> Except as otherwise provided by this Agreement,Redwood City's policies and applicable labor <br /> agreements, and applicable CaIPERS regulations,the date of hire of San Carlos employees by <br /> Redwood City in July 2013 in connection with the "Amended and Restated Agreement <br /> between Cities of Redwood City And San Carlos for Fire & Emergency Services" will be the <br /> anniversary date for the purpose of determining promotional eligibility,determining statutory <br /> leave rights (e.g. FMLA and CFRA), and calculating seniority for the purpose of eligibility for <br /> employee benefits. Redwood City will not count employment with San Carlos or any other <br /> employer towards seniority for the purpose of eligibility for employee benefits except as <br /> provided herein or in accordance with applicable Redwood City policies and labor <br /> agreements. <br /> Except as otherwise provided by this Agreement, Redwood City will not be responsible for <br /> any San Carlos employee's accrued benefits, including but not limited to:vacation,sick leave, <br /> compensatory time, retirement,savings plan, and education benefits. <br /> 2.5 SENIORITY <br /> 2.5.1 LAYOFF <br /> Redwood City will not count employment with San Carlos or any other employer <br /> towards seniority for the purpose of layoff or bumping rights. <br /> RESO.#15272 <br /> MUFF#304 <br />
