RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (1) APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, THE AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITIES OF REDWOOD CITY AND SAN CARLOS FOR FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN ANNUAL UPDATED EXHIBIT C TO THE AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT, AND (2) APPROVING, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE, THE AGREEMENT FOR TRANSFER OF FIRE SERVICES PERSONNEL FROM THE CITY OF SAN CARLOS TO CITY OF REDWOOD CITY

06/24/2013 <br /> In recognition of San Carlos Firefighters' and Fire Captains' current seniority, all <br /> Firefighters and Fire Captains hired by Redwood City will be hired in the order of San <br /> Carlos Fire Department seniority. <br /> 2.5.2 SHIFT,STATION AND VACATION BID <br /> Redwood City will not count employment with San Carlos or any other employer <br /> towards seniority for the purpose of shift bid or station bid. Employees'Redwood City <br /> hire date and order will be used to calculate seniority for the purpose of shift bid and <br /> station bid. <br /> San Carlos Firefighters and Fire Captains hired by Redwood City in July 2013 in <br /> connection with the "Amended and Restated Agreement between Cities of Redwood <br /> City and San Carlos for Fire & Emergency Services,"who are non-probationary as of <br /> the date of approval of this agreement, will have preferred bidding for Stations 13 <br /> and 16 for the duration of employment with Redwood City. <br /> Redwood City will count employment with San Carlos or any other employer towards <br /> seniority for the purpose of vacation bid for San Carlos Firefighters and Fire Captains <br /> hired by Redwood City in July 2013 in connection with the "Amended and Restated <br /> Agreement between Cities of Redwood City and San Carlos for Fire & Emergency <br /> Services,"who are non-probationary as of the date of approval of this agreement. <br /> Employees' Redwood City hire date and order will be used to calculate seniority for <br /> the purpose of shift bid and station bid. <br /> The City of Redwood City shall honor all pre-approved vacation days for San Carlos <br /> employees through the remainder of 2013. <br /> 2.6 ELIGIBILITY FOR LONGEVITY INCENTIVE AND RETIREE HEALTH BENEFITS <br /> 2.6.1 ELIGIBILITY FOR SAN CARLOS LONGEVITY INCENTIVE BENEFIT <br /> The City of San Carlos will provide to the following six San Carlos fire service <br /> employees the longevity incentive as established under the City of San Carlos <br /> longevity incentive program: <br /> Mark Burnett <br /> David Gillette <br /> Charles Lax <br /> Stephen Wilkerson <br /> Christopher Bianchini <br /> Thomas Jinks <br /> The six, above-listed employees have a San Carlos anniversary date on or before <br /> December 31, 2008 and are currently vested in the San Carlos longevity incentive <br /> program. To be eligible to receive the San Carlos longevity incentive benefit, said <br /> employees must retire via a service retirement or disability retirement (industrial or <br /> non-industrial)from the fire service with Redwood City. <br /> RESO.#15272 <br /> MUFF#304 <br />
